About the role
Who are we
We are a rapidly growing B2B SaaS company helping small businesses compete with the giants. Our powerful, yet easy to use software and hardware solve a problem that’s often overlooked: inventory management.
Since 2007, we’ve been bootstrapped, stable, and successful. We began by dominating the desktop inventory software market with over a million downloads, and since 2017 we’ve transitioned to the cloud and mobile unlocking new possibilities and accelerating our growth.
We do our absolute best to show respect and compassion to customers, employees, and job applicants, and people tell us that Archon is an amazing place to work. You can check us out on Glassdoor, Deloitte Technology Fast 500, our website, or what to expect when applying for a job.
We’ve got an amazing group of talented and friendly people here, and we’re looking for world class talent, like you, to join us!
Hybrid work - one day/week in the office
We know that in the software industry, you can get most of your day-to-day work done outside of an office. We value the freedom and flexibility that comes from being able to work from home; in fact, we’ve been pioneers in mostly-working-from-home for over a decade, waaaay before it was cool.
We also believe that it’s important to be able to build real human connections (dare I say, friendships?) with your co-workers, and that there’s no substitute for in-person bonding time for this. These connections (friendships?) build trust and encourage open and honest conversations; they’re good for business AND good for well-being.
That’s why we will be requiring that employees work one day per week (typically) in our beautiful Toronto office, with this in-person time focused on team gatherings, monthly free lunches, and other activities that are best done in-person. Other days, you’re free to work from home, the office, or any productive environment.
Some of our job benefits
- Competitive salary: $80,000 - $110,000 annually. We also offer both quarterly and annual performance-based variable incentives.
- Health and dental benefits
- Top-notch computers. We hate slow computers too!
- $500 fitness benefit (for gym memberships, bicycles, Fitbit, etc.)
- Subsidized internet and phone plans
- Make a difference: you'll be the 67th member of our tight-knit team
- 3 weeks of vacation (increasing with tenure), plus 10 additional paid (PTO) days

- Performance & accountability: Help the team consistently hit activity, conversion, and revenue targets
-
Manage our CRM and sales tools to equip the sales team with the best systems possible to do their jobs effectively
-
Monitor, develop, and implement sales best practices to increase conversion rates, shorten sales cycles, and improve lead quality
-
Manage operations of the team, including performance tracking, meetings, 1:1s, performance reviews, etc.
-
Help set, monitor, and report on achievement of KPIs (both individual and team level)
-
Participate in hiring and training of new talent, as required
Core sales leadership responsibilities:
-
Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day sales questions, escalations, and process clarifications
-
Coach SDRs and AEs on:
- Lead qualification and prioritization
- Objection handling

- Time and pipeline management
-
Ensure strong collaboration and communication between Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to support a smooth customer journey from lead to close
-
Surface insights from the sales team around pricing objections, lead quality, competitive feedback, and customer needs
-
Work on side projects aimed at improving sales efficiency, reporting, and overall team performance
Secondary responsibilities:
- Work across the sales team to implement processes that work towards shared objectives of engagement and retention
- Represent the customer voice and sales team on special projects across departments like Sales, QA and Product teams
- Contribute ideas and recommendations around pricing, promotions, and sales strategy
- Come up with your own ideas on how we can improve! We’re very open to experimentation
What we’re looking for
- Experience: You have direct experience (at least 2-3 years) in a B2B sales role within a team setting, as well as coaching, mentoring and leading others.
- Leader: You are a natural people person and team player that’s not afraid to make tough calls, and provide feedback
- Technically Capable: You have the ability to properly use our sales system tool, and consistently maintain workflows and automations. Experience with tools like Hubspot, Zoom, Chorus.
- Adaptable: You’re able to get along with different personalities and styles of working to empower your team to play to their strengths and constructively improve
- Customer-centric and empathetic. You empathize with customer pain points and genuinely care about finding them a solution.
- Strong communicator. You can communicate clearly and confidently with sales reps, leadership, and other departments
- Quick learner. You can learn complex software and processes quickly and are efficient with your time
- Self-starter. You are naturally self-motivated and can manage your own time well
- Team player. We’re a tight-knit team that always helps each other out, even if it’s outside our responsibilities
- Great personality. No need to be the life of the party but you are friendly, positive, and approachable
Nice to have
- Experience supporting both SDR and AE functions
- Experience or understanding of the software-as-a-service industry
- A plus - experience with inventory management, small businesses, working remotely and weird hobbies - we looove weird hobbies!
Use of AI in the hiring process
Due to the volume of applicants, we use AI-enabled tools to support parts of our hiring process (like helping us review applications more efficiently). Every hiring decision is ultimately made by real humans who care a lot about building a great team.
At Archon, we celebrate diversity as an equal opportunity employer. We hire people based on what they can contribute, and we provide equal pay for equal work.
About Archon Systems
Our journey started in 2007 with the first release of inFlow Inventory.
We've hit a lot of milestones since then—like making Canada's Top 100 small and medium-sized businesses and Profit 500 lists—but our mission is still the same: to build software that makes a practical difference in people's lives.
Our products should be easy and intuitive, but still offer powerful features to those who need them. And we obsess over design: from gut-level beauty to the tiniest details of how things should work.
We also believe that if you treat others well, they'll return the favour. So whenever we do something, we consider how our users will feel about it. We'll even refer customers to competitors if we feel ours won't fit their needs.
To accomplish all of this, we're building a company of great people who inspire each other to do their best work. We've left roles vacant if we can't find the perfect candidate, and we assume everyone on our team is good at what they do. This means we trust them to make decisions and keep "management" to a minimum.
If this approach to work sounds like a good fit for you, have a look at our open jobs and get in touch.
We'd love to meet you!
