Job Description
Reporting to the Controller, the Junior Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Accountant with payables, month-end processes, year-end audit, and reporting processes. This role involves accurately processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely payments to vendors.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain vendor files and update contact information as needed.
- Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
- Assist with financial reporting tasks as assigned.
- Assist with data entry and maintaining accurate records in the accounting system.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist with internal and external audits as required.
- Assist with accounts receivables and member billings as needed.
- Provide administrative support to the finance department, including filing and organizing documents.
- Support the accounting team with ad-hoc projects as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in accounting, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience with bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar skill.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to learn new software and processes quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent teamwork skills; ability to work towards Club objectives effectively with a diverse team.

Salary range:$45,000 - $48,000 per year
