About the role

Join NSF’s QAI team as an Account Manager II and become the trusted advisor for leading food and organic brands across North America. You’ll manage end-to-end certification projects in this dynamic role, ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering exceptional client experiences.

You’ll build strong relationships with clients, guide them through complex standards like USDA Organic and Canada Organic Regime, and collaborate across departments to keep projects on track. From reviewing applications to coordinating inspections and resolving compliance issues, you’ll be at the center of it all—driving accuracy, efficiency, and satisfaction.

  • Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned QAI clients, managing certification projects and ensuring exceptional customer service, regulatory compliance, and satisfaction with NSF’s Food Claims and Organic Certification services.

  • Client Relationship Management: Act as the main liaison for clients across North America. Build strong relationships, ensure satisfaction and retention, and serve as an internal advocate to support client success.

  • Project Oversight: Manage certification projects for new and existing products and facilities, including application reviews, documentation, inspections, and final certification decisions. Ensure timely and accurate execution of all project phases.

  • Regulatory & Technical Guidance: Provide expert guidance on organic and food claims standards (e.g., USDA Organic, Canada Organic Regime, EU Organic), audit processes, and compliance requirements. Support clients in understanding certification decisions and technical requirements.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal departments—Technical Review, Inspection Scheduling, Sales, Accounting, and others—to resolve issues and ensure seamless certification workflows.

  • Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized client records to support certification, accreditation, and invoicing. Conduct annual reviews and ensure timely submission of required updates and documentation.

  • Issue Resolution: Support the resolution of non-compliance issues by liaising between clients and technical experts. Ensure corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner to maintain ongoing compliance.

  • Business Development: Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities. Support Canadian market expansion and contribute to NSF’s strategic growth goals for 2026 and onwards.

  • Training & Knowledge Sharing: Stay current on evolving standards, regulations, and internal processes through regular training. Share knowledge across teams and support cross-program client management.

  • Performance & Process Improvement: Meet or exceed KPIs related to revenue generation, client satisfaction, project turnaround times, and retention. Lead or contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

  • Qualifications: Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in customer-facing roles, ideally within the TIC industry or a related regulatory/compliance environment

  • Familiarity with organic regulations in the USA, Canada, LATAM, and EU is preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to build relationships and deliver exceptional service

  • Sales-oriented mindset with a focus on revenue growth and client development

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Microsoft Teams

  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a remote or hybrid work environment

  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrates professionalism, patience, adaptability, and a willingness to learn

  • Open-minded, flexible, and comfortable navigating change in a dynamic industry

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Committed to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree – University

  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
