Campaign Donation Clerk
(3 Month Contract, 4 Open Positions)

How you will make a difference:
Reporting to the Associate Manager, Gift & Data Processing the Campaign Donation Clerk assists the FBMTS group in the processing of donations, balancing pledges with donor payments (cash, cheque, credit card and payroll), as well as other general support while maintaining the trust of UWGTs donors.
- Responsible for accepting and tracking incoming campaign submissions
- Reconcile submissions with multiple fund types on multiple levels while ensuring that all financial controls for the handling of cash and cheques are being met
- Record discrepant items for further follow-up
- Correspond with donors verbally and or in writing to resolve payment discrepancies
- Prepare daily Deposit Reconciliation form Create batches of reconciled pledge forms based on complex and varied criteria to ensure priority sequencing
- Enter donation/account details from pledge forms and spreadsheets accurately in the CRM database and online platform according to established business rules.
- Create new donor records and update existing donor information (name and address changes, status updates, receipt preferences, etc.) in the CRM and online platform
- Manage import exceptions
- Review and verify the accuracy of other FBMTS staff members data entry batches
- Escalate unresolved errors or issues that do not comply with UW business standards to Manager
- Complete various daily tracking Logs according to UW guidelines
- Assist with other campaign projects and duties as required
- Provide exceptional customer service to donors and internal staff by responding to queries in a fast, efficient, and courteous manner.
What you bring to the role:
- Excellent attention to detail and proven track record of accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to reconcile funds; with experience handling cash/cheques preferred
- Proven data entry experience preferred
- Excellent computer skills with a working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge or comparable CRM preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office with an intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and Word
- Ability to prioritize a heavy workload and meet required deadlines
- Flexible and able to work well under pressure
- Ability to identify and solve basic problems
- Must be a team player, with a strong commitment to assisting team members
- Effective customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities
- Willingness to actively contribute to the organizational equity framework through participation in learning opportunities and implementing anti-oppressive, and anti-racist learnings into action internally and externally
