Job Description
DIVISION OVERVIEW
Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees and teas as well as new energy drinks. Crown Beverage leads the packaging industry with innovative technologies that redefine how the world looks at beverage cans. With a large printable surface area and a wide range of sizes, shapes and decorating options, our aluminum cans are the perfect packaging format to create compelling brand presence where it counts. Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include
Operates small and large capacity lift trucks to perform transporting assignments in designated location, according to prescribed method. Remove and stack for processing defective tier sheets, pallets and top frames from inventory. Provide materials to all lines to ensure continuous uninterrupted operations. Re-pile spilled loads as necessary. Load and unload dunnage or other materials. Monitor and clear jams on pallet / frame dispensers and strappers, report repeated problems to Back End Maintainer. Maintain strapping materials in dispenser. Use cutters to open loads of materials or coils as necessary. Remove finished goods from the line when they are suspect quality or conveying system malfunctions. Handle and pile materials, pallets and drums. Remove from the line and dump scrap, spoilage or garbage into appropriate scrap bin or baler.
Provide help to Baler operator as needed throughout the shift
Fill propane tanks from bulk storage for use on own vehicle. Change propane tanks and perform daily PM checks on lift trucks, report any discrepancies to supervisor. Remove wrapping from coils and load on downender as needed. Ensure coils unloaded agree with supplier manifests. Keep assigned area clean and hazard free. Ensure that all safety equipment, devices and guards are properly used and in place at all times. Follow safe working procedures and safety rules.

Qualifications
Requirements
High School diploma or G.E.D preferred
Knowledge of production equipment and mechanical operations in manufacturing environment. 2 or more years of production experience including at least 1 year of previous manufacturing experience. Ability to work under time pressures and flexibility to adjust to sudden work patterns or schedules Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, evenings, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate Must be able to drive forklifts
Competencies
Ability to read and understand procedures in English.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
The team member frequently is required to climb or balance
The team member is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions
Generally works in a manufacturing environment
While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures especially in the summer and winter months The noise level is frequently loud
