The Opportunity
The Human Resource Service Centre (HRSC) provides human resource, benefits and payroll administration services to the Government of Saskatchewan .
The HR Information Systems and Analytics Branch at the HRSC is seeking four (4) client-focused team players to fill the term System Configuration/Business Analyst positions for one (1) year.
This role will primarily support the Government of Saskatchewan’s human resource information technology systems that support human resources, benefits, payroll, costing, time and labour, and electronic timecard systems, currently provided by MIDAS (Oracle e-Business Suite), PSC Client and other boundary systems.
Reporting to the Manager, Workforce Management and Technology Services this position will:
- Advise and direct ministry staff and external clients on processes and procedures relating to the supported business application
- Research and analyze problems with existing programs and/or transactions to determine issues and suggest changes required to correct the problems
- Configure systems according to requirements
- Test various aspects of the system to ensure proper functionality, update, and/or prepare applicable documentation
- Participate in the installation of new software releases
- Provide business and technical support to clients
- Design and develop queries and reports within the business applications
The successful candidate will have knowledge of:
- Human Resources, Payroll, or Benefits policies and procedures
- Relational database concepts, theories, and principles
- Programming concepts and languages such as SQL, and
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate and resolve complex processing issues within the system
- Ability to identify and evaluate alternatives; recommend solutions; design, configure, test, and maintain systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to develop a variety of documents and explain or present both technical and non-technical information to others
Typically, knowledge for this position would be attained through post-secondary education in Computer Science or a Business Analysis Certificate, combined with at least two years’ related experience

Hours of Work**:** A - SGEU Office 36 - one day off every two weeks
Criminal Record Check Requirement**:** The successful candidate shall be subject to a Criminal Record Check as a condition of employment
