Earls Kitchen + Bar is seeking an Intermediate Accountant for our Finance Team. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic group working together to provide restaurants with the most up-to-date and concise financial reports while supporting any other requests as needed.
Role Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate financial statements and related reports by deadlines, which provide Operations with timely information to aid in decision-making
- Monitor cash control through bank reconciliations to safeguard assets
- Meet reporting deadlines for taxes to ensure compliance, avoid penalties and interest, and minimize any impact of government audits
- Complete intercompany reconciliations for head office transactions and gather supporting documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting preferred
- Currently enrolled in the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP)
- 2+ years of experience in a full-cycle accounting role
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and applications
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel required
- Organized and able to allocate time effectively, manage multiple demands and competing priorities, and be willing to adapt to new ideas and changes
- Good problem-solving skills
- Experience in the hospitality industry is an asset
