At EA SPORTS FC, we've integrated UX and UI into a unified practice focused on collaboration. As part of our team, you'll help shape an immersive player experience for one of EA's top franchises and use your creativity and expertise to create experiences that captivate millions through motion and design. This role offers the chance to make an impact on EA SPORTS FC.
Responsibilities
- This role reports to the Design Lead and works closely with other Experience Designers to create high-quality UI motion that enhances player engagement and emotion, while pushing the boundaries of FC's visual excellence.
- Partner with UI/UX team, Game Designers, Producers, Art Directors, and Software Engineering teams to balance user needs, team goals, and project timelines while promoting design quality.
- Work fluidly across 2D and 3D gaming contexts, creating motion mockups that support our product and feature vision, guiding development from concept to design reviews to implementation.
- Leverage and expand our UI Design System to build cohesive user experiences, introducing new patterns where valuable.
Requirements
- Portfolio showcasing motion design work with a focus on user-centered, visually engaging animations and interactions.
- 5+ years of experience creating high-quality UI motion design in collaboration with cross-discipline teams.
- Expertise with both 2D and 3D Motion Design tools (After Effects, Maya, C4D), using Design Systems and Figma prototyping.
- Exceptional visual design skills in layout, composition, typography, and color theory, with an understanding of motion, timing and accessibility principles.
- Experience presenting and justifying interaction design decisions to diverse audiences, incorporating feedback to refine designs.
- You are comfortable working with varying levels of the organization and collaborating with team leaders across the franchise.
Compensation And Benefits The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
- British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$100,000 - $139,500 CAD
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
