What You’ll Do Metrie is currently seeking a Sales Manager that will be responsible for managing 3 outside sales representatives and a personal territory in BC, combining leadership with customer-facing sales. This role functions as a player-coach, limited to regions where coverage demands it.

In addition to covering a territory in the Lower Mainland, the Sales Manageris accountable for fostering a high-performance culture, ensuring operational discipline, and delivering consistent sales and margin growth through effective leadership and alignment with regional goals. The incumbent is required to visit Victoria and Kelowna region once a quarter.

This role reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager, Western Canada and is a member of the Sales Leadership Team for the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a sales team to consistently achieve or exceed sales and margin targets.
  • Maintain personal accountability for a designated territory, demonstrating success as an individual contributor alongside team leadership.
  • Drive team performance through effective coaching, skill development, and when necessary, corrective action.
  • Balance operational oversight, team development, and direct customer engagement to ensure strategic and tactical alignment.
  • Cultivate long-term customer relationships, earning recognition as a trusted sales partner and advisor.
  • Drive significant change in the Market and leverage product category growth.
  • Leverage CRM systems, forecasting tools, and data-driven reporting to monitor and optimize both team and individual performance.
  • Develop and execute account plans aimed at revenue growth, market penetration, and increased share of wallet.
  • Anticipate customer needs and align product or service offerings with business priorities to unlock long-term opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve customer or operational challenges, engaging internal stakeholders such as Operations, Logistics, and Finance to deliver effective solutions.

Qualifications

  • A degree in business or a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience in a managerial role, with a strong track record of leading teams and driving results.
  • Demonstrated expertise across key areas of sales, including growth strategy development, distribution channel management, account expansion, and business planning.
  • Skilled in communicating effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align on strategic objectives.
  • Communicates with clarity and confidence, effectively motivating teams through a shared vision, clear goals, and consistent updates.
  • Demonstrated ability to enhance team performance through structured coaching, joint field engagement, and targeted instruction.
  • Proven success in maintaining and expanding key account relationships, driving both customer retention and revenue growth.
  • Exhibits resilience and a strong sense of accountability, consistently delivering results despite market challenges.
  • Open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement in sales leadership, strategic account management, and team development.

It is important to note that this position may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or sales incentive payments. The specific base pay within the range will be contingent upon an individual's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Furthermore, it is essential to highlight that our remuneration ranges are established based on the role, level, and location.
