Position Summaries:
BCMSA is offering two exciting part-time opportunities:

Position #1: Client Services – Operations: 28 hours per week
-
Position #2: Client Services – COR: 21 hours per week
We are looking for dynamic, team-oriented, and dedicated individuals to join our organization. These positions will work collaboratively with the BCMSA team to support occupational health and safety across BC’s local government sector. Both positions share the same core responsibilities and qualifications, providing administrative and client service support across BCMSA’s programs and operations.
The Client Services Operations position, 28 hours per week, will focus on BCMSA’s general training programs, coordinating course bookings, moderating virtual sessions, scheduling members and instructors, managing data and records, and providing secondary support to the Operations team.
The Client Services COR position, 21 hours per week, will offer dedicated support for the Certificate of Recognition ( COR) program, maintaining program records and databases,
communicating with certified firms and auditors, and assisting with quality assurance processes. As this role is a member of the Programs & Initiatives Team, training or experience in occupational health and safety is a significant asset.
Together, these roles play a key part in ensuring BCMSA members receive exceptional service, accurate information, and seamless program delivery across the province. While both positions are initially part-time, there is potential for them to transition into full -time roles, depending on organizational needs. Your Skills and Qualifications:

Education & Experience: Completed courses in office administration and have sound related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Additional education or experience in occupational health and safety is an asset.

Teamwork & Adaptability: Can work collaboratively and handle frequent interruptions and changing priorities in a high-volume environment.

Office Knowledge: Has considerable knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.

Virtual Meeting Skills: Intermediate to advanced skills with virtual meeting software (Zoom, Teams, etc.).

Communication & Service: Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of various software applications, including intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office (with a strong focus on Excel) and Adobe products, as well as electronic filing systems and databases.

Organization & Problem Solving: Organized and has effective problem-management skills.

Tech-Savviness: Technologically savvy and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
