RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Total Rewards Analyst is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Hospital’s compensation and benefits program
  • Deliver exceptional front-line service for staff on all total rewards related matters; including responding to queries, offering consultation, guidance and interpretation of total rewards programs, processes, policies and plans
  • Assist in the review, update, and implemention of Total Rewards policies and procedures to ensure strategic alignment with the corporate mission, values, and goals
  • Support Compensation & Benefits Consultant in evaluating new and revised positions and provide job analysis, determining appropriate classifications, grade and pay rate of positions in accordance with the salary administration guidelines and applicable collective agreements
  • Administration of the employee benefits and pension plans (HOOPP), including processing enrolments and making changes to coverage and contributions
  • Ensure that Employee Benefits and Pension Plans payments, contributions, and transfers are accurately processed and documented; and assist with resolution of issues and problems
  • Advise and provide guidance and training to employees regarding their Employee Benefits and Pension Plan
  • Support Management with the maintenance of job descriptions
  • Work collaboratively with Talent Acquisition and Labour Relations teams to provide guidance on Total Rewards queries
  • Develop and maintain electronic documentation of work processes and best practice standard operating procedures
  • Create and provide metrics/ad hoc reports for the Manager of Human Resources, Senior Management, and other key stakeholders
  • Promote a productive and efficient team environment where Human Resources staff is recognized as a highly regarded and trusted sources

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post secondary diploma and/or degree in a related discipline (i.e. Human Resources, Business Administration, Health Administration, etc.)
  • Three (3)+ years of progressive experience within Human Resources in a healthcare organization, including significant experience in compensation and benefits
  • In lieu of formal education, five (5) years experience in Human Resources of which two (2) years been in compensation and benefits
  • Knowledge and understanding of collective agreements, and corporate policies and procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of position classification and job evaluation principles, practices, and procedures
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, etc)
  • Experience with an HRIS
  • Proven willingness to learn and acquire new information and skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work effectively, manage a full workload and meet deadlines in a busy environment with frequent interruptions

PREFERRED:

  • Professional designation (e.g. CHRP, CHRL designation or in progress)
