Compensation

$72,200 - $135,400

Purpose

Trade Trend Specialist owns day‑to‑day program operations for Sysco's vendor engagement programs that provides enhanced visibility, field engagement, and marketing activation across regions. This role orchestrates communications between regional teams and vendors, maintains a consistent operating cadence, and turns data into clear, actionable reporting to accelerate vendor onboarding, training, and sales execution.

Responsibilities

-Program Management

  • Lead the end‑to‑end operating rhythm for the Vendor Partnership programs, including calendar, milestones, and deliverables; ensure vendors progress through onboarding and activation gates on schedule.
  • Maintain and continuously improve program playbooks (e.g., item launch, marketing guidelines) and best‑practice decks for regional adoption. (Playbooks/guidelines referenced in program docs.) -Communication & Stakeholder Enablement
  • Serve as the central point of contact between regional merchandising leaders and program participants; drive transparent updates, decisions, and issue resolution.
  • Assist with sales‑facing touchpoints to prioritize partner vendors and ensure structured, high‑impact training engagements.
  • Prepare concise briefing notes, FAQs, and weekly status emails to stakeholders. -Data, Dashboards and Reporting
  • Own program activity and performance dashboards; collect, validate, and publish standardized weekly and monthly reports for regions and vendors. (Quarterly vendor activity dashboards and "enhanced" dashboards are program elements.)
  • Monitor category growth maps, vendor scorecards, and other reports; highlight trends, gaps, and recommended actions.
  • Define and enforce data quality standards; partner with Finance/Analytics for metric alignment. -Vendor & Region Engagement
  • Manage vendor program onboarding checkpoints (qualification, training content readiness, calendar placement, sales enablement assets). (Vendor qualification criteria outlined in program guidance.)
  • Track and escalate blockers (e.g., competing vendor access, content gaps, pricing readiness) to protect program integrity. -Governance & Process
  • Maintain a clear "rules of engagement" and participation criteria for sales‑facing activities; ensure consistency across regions.
  • Document processes (surveys, huddle submissions, dashboard intake) and drive adoption; audit compliance and close feedback loops.
  • Complies with Sysco's Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills

  • 2-4 years in merchandising, partner activation, category management, or program operations; vendor‑facing experience required.
  • Experience in retail or foodservice sales is an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven ability to run multi‑stakeholder programs across regions with structured cadences and clear SLAs.
  • Strong data skills (Excel; familiarity with BI dashboards/Tableau or similar) and experience building standardized reports. (Program tools reference Tableau and scorecards.)
  • Exceptional written/verbal communication; comfortable presenting to vendors and field leadership.
  • High attention to detail; process thinker who can simplify complexity and drive adoption.
  • Asset: Experience with item launch playbooks, omnichannel marketing guidelines, and sales training events. (Program artifacts include launch playbooks and marketing guidelines

Education

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Experience

2-4 years in merchandising, partner activation, category management, or program operations; vendor‑facing experience required.
