Contribute to the overall success of the Global HR Project Management Office ensuring specific goals, plans and initiatives are executed/delivered in support of HR’s strategies and objectives. Conducts all activities in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Manage Global HR PMO Governance activities, including, but not limited to, KPI reporting of overall project portfolio, preparation of presentation materials for executive committees, facilitation of cross functional project capacity planning
- Support the annual Strategic Portfolio Investment (SIP) budgeting cycle by partnering with Global HR Leadership to translate strategies into a portfolio of prioritized projects, with associated costs and benefits
- Assist in developing comprehensive, multi-year / multi-country business cases in support of Global HR programs
- Ensure continuous improvement of reporting and insight capabilities on the HR portfolio of projects, using data from the Bank's financial systems to provide leadership guidance
- Support the monthly project financial forecasting process as required
- Manage monthly / quarterly financial reporting, forecasting, and planning on Opex for HR Services.
- Manage HR Services resource reporting on vacancies, status changes, movements and any other changes. Monthly reporting of vacancies to management.
- Overseeing and approving invoices for Global HR by ensuring all guidelines have been met
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank’s values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Accounting certification (CPA, CMA, CGA) and 3+ years business experience is preferred
- Advanced expertise building complex business case models
- 2+ years in a project planning function, preferably with experience in an IT/Technology environment
- Excellent organizational skills/relationship management/communicator/problem solving
- Must be proactive, self-starter and capable of learning new ways of doing things
- Capable of moving forward through complex situations, prioritizing work as required
- Strong knowledge of the Bank, or FIs is preferred
