The Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways provides a safe, reliable transportation system that supports Saskatchewan’s growth economy and quality of life. We strive to deliver innovative and sustainable infrastructure to serve the needs of citizens. The Ministry is seeking a Programs Analyst with the Land Management Services team. Our candidate of choice will be a highly motivated, detail oriented, energetic, reliable and well-organized professional that will provide specialized land management, research and technical services. Excellent verbal and written communication skills will be needed to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with ministry employees, stakeholders and the public. The successful applicant will be a contributing member of a collaborative and high-performing team.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Provide inquiry intake and tracking of requests that come from the public, municipalities, Indigenous communities and other government agencies;
  • Monitor municipal programs, calculate fees, invoice and process payments;
  • Support procurement for consultant commissions, standing offers and liaise with land surveyors, land agents and land appraisers;
  • Conduct land title and ownership research including interest and encumbrance registration/discharge;
  • Create project files and coordinate information gathering including records management; and
  • Provide land management support for municipal, registration and acquisition/disposal programs.

You will have knowledge of:

  • The Torrens Land Registration System and the Dominion Land Survey System predominantly used in Saskatchewan;
  • Office management and administrative practices, procedures, protocols and equipment;
  • Computer software applications and programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, database systems (Information Services Corporation land titles); and
  • Financial accounting principles and practices.

Typically, the knowledge and experience required to achieve the above is obtained through a certificate or diploma in land administration, business administration or accounting. An equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
