Job Title: X-Ray Technologist

Key Responsibilities
- Perform Diagnostic Examinations: Independently perform a full range of high-quality General Radiography (X-ray) examinations according to established protocols.
- Patient Care: Prioritize patient comfort, safety, and dignity at all times. Explain complex procedures clearly to reduce anxiety and ensure patient cooperation.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all radiation safety standards (ALARA principles) and infection control protocols.
- Equipment Management: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot radiographic equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and performing routine quality assurance (QA) checks.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with radiologists and physicians by preparing accurate technical reports, managing patient records, and using PACS/RIS systems efficiently.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and stay current with professional development requirements.
Required Qualifications & Credentials

Licensure: Must be a registered Medical Radiation Technologist (Radiography) licensed in the province of Ontario (MRT-R).

Good Standing: Member in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent experience working as an MRT-R, preferably in a clinic or hospital setting.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating modern digital X-ray equipment and working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), PACS, and RIS systems.

Soft Skills: Demonstrated reliability, exceptional organizational ability, and strong verbal communication skills.
