À propos du poste: Le Consultant en Autisme (CA) soutiendra nos initiatives francophones et rurales au sein des Services pour l’autisme de Kinark. Les services incluent :

  • Ateliers pour parents et éducateurs
  • Coaching ACA pour parents et aidants

Le poste est principalement basé dans la région de York/Simcoe, avec possibilité de soutien à distance pour d’autres régions.

Kinark offre la possibilité de travailler partiellement ou entièrement à distance pour certains postes. Ce poste est classé Roamer, nécessitant environ 2 jours par semaine au bureau, sauf si les besoins opérationnels demandent plus de présence.

Horaires variables : soirs, fins de semaine, quarts fractionnés ou moins de 7 heures par jour. Possibilité de travailler dans différents sites et programmes dans un rayon de 50 km selon les besoins.

Responsabilités principales:

  • Soutenir la prestation des services cliniques de base OAP
  • Conseiller sur les pratiques basées sur des données probantes pour les enfants avec TSA à domicile et dans la communauté
  • Identifier les lacunes dans les services, l’assurance qualité, l’expérience client, le marketing et la publicité
  • Développer et rédiger des rapports et modèles de rapports
  • Créer et animer des sessions de formation pour parents, tuteurs et éducateurs
  • Développer du matériel de formation et offrir des opportunités éducatives pour parents et éducateurs
  • Former éventuellement de nouveaux facilitateurs
  • Prestation de services directs selon les besoins
  • Travailler certains soirs et fins de semaine selon les exigences

Qualifications requises:

  • Maîtrise en Analyse Appliquée du Comportement (ACA) ou domaine connexe
  • Certification BCBA / RBA (Ontario) est un atout
  • Bilinguisme complet français et anglais (oral, écrit et lecture)
  • Minimum 3 ans d’expérience en ABA et TSA
  • Expérience en développement et prestation de formations pour aidants (atout majeur)
  • Expérience en services de consultation
  • Excellentes compétences interpersonnelles, en communication et en résolution de problèmes
  • Capacité à travailler en équipe pluridisciplinaire
  • Excellentes compétences en informatique (MS Office) et en présentation
  • Déplacements requis : permis de conduire valide en Ontario, accès à un véhicule fiable et assurance automobile incluant usage professionnel (responsabilité minimale de 1 million $)

Job Summary: The Autism Consultant (AC) will support our Francophone and Rural initiatives within Kinark Autism Services. These services will include parent and educator workshops, as well as ABA coaching for parents and caregivers. The successful incumbent will be assigned to work primarily within the York/Simcoe Region, while supporting other regions remotely.

Kinark has introduced a benefit that gives employees in eligible roles the opportunity to work partially or fully remote if they choose to opt-in for this benefit. This role (Autism Consultant) is assessed as a Roamer position requiring a few days in the office (2 days per week) unless business demands require.

You may be scheduled to work evenings, weekends, split shifts, or shorter shifts of less than 7 hours per day. You will be required to work out of other Kinark sites from time to time based on operational needs. As well, you may be assigned to work in different programs and services within the Autism division of Kinark and your primary work location may be reassigned within a 50 kilometer radius based on operational needs.

This is a temporary full-time (35 hours a week) position with a contract length of 1 year.

Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Support the delivery of OAP Core Clinical services;
  • Consult in the development of effective evidence-based practices for children with ASD in home and community-based environments;
  • Identify gaps in services, quality assurance, client experience, marketing, and advertising;
  • Participate in the development of report templates and writing reports;
  • Develop curriculum and deliver sessions for parent, guardian and educator education sessions;
  • Develop resource materials and provide training opportunities to parents and educators supporting children and youth with ASD;
  • May train new facilitators;
  • Direct services will be required in some instances;
  • Some evenings/weekends will be required.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) or a related field;**
  • Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)/Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) in Ontario certification is considered an asset;
  • Candidates are required to be fluently Bilingual in both English and French spoken, reading and writing;
  • Minimum three years’ experience in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis and Autism Spectrum Disorder;
  • Experience with development and delivery of caregiver education and groups will be considered a strong asset;
  • Experience in the delivery of consultation-based services;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment;
  • Excellent computer (MS Office) and presentation skills;
  • Travel is required for this position; the successful candidate must have a valid Ontario driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to obtain automobile insurance which includes driving for business purposes with a minimum liability of one million dollars;
