We are searching for an energetic and ambitious entry level Account Manager to join our Calgary-based Sales team and support our growing customer base across Southern Alberta – with regular travel to Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, and Crow’s Nest Pass.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a meaningful career in sales, no formal sales experience required. If you’re curious, people-oriented, and driven to succeed, we’ll provide the training and tools to help you thrive in this role.

The day-to-day activities of our Account Manager will include:

  • Outside Sales: Receive hands-on training to seek out and maintain accounts within the territory through business development while gaining a strong understanding of BGE products, services, and their long-term value to customers.
  • Relationship & Account Management: With mentorship provided, build and manage relationships with both existing and potential customers. Understand their operations, identify pain points, and propose meaningful, cost-effective solutions.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work alongside experienced teammates in Marketing, Customer Service, and Product Development to share what you’re learning in the field, improve service delivery, and contribute to business growth initiatives.
  • Strategic Target Achievement: Learn to develop and execute account plans step by step, with support from your manager, to begin working toward sales quotas and revenue and margin targets.
  • Site Airchecks and Inspections: Shadow senior team members on customer site visits and gradually take on responsibilities such as walkthroughs, participating in operations meetings, and providing recommendations based on observations and data.

The right candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications on their resume and initial phone screen:

  • 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing role (e.g. retail, trades, hospitality, construction, or technical support)
  • A valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and comfortable with regular regional travel.
  • A self-starter mindset, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Interest in building a career in sales, business development, and customer relationship management.

A successful candidate must be able to pass pre-employment and, where required, pre-access drug, cannabis and alcohol tests.
