Northern Health is seeking Family Physician locums to provide rural generalist services in Hazelton, BC, based at Wrinch Memorial Hospital and Wrinch Medical Clinic. Locum assignments can be tailored to physician availability, with opportunities ranging from short-term coverage to extended placements.
Physicians provide a broad and rewarding rural scope of practice, including
Community-based Family Medicine
Emergency Department coverage
Inpatient care
Long-term care services
Optional outreach clinics in surrounding communities

Team Support & Mentorship
Locum Physicians Are Supported By
An experienced and collaborative physician group
Nurse Practitioners, Registered Midwives, and interdisciplinary health professionals
Visiting specialist services
Buddy ER shifts and mentorship support when appropriate

Qualifications
Applicants should
Hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) Have Emergency Medicine experience Possess current ACLS and ATLS certification (PALS an asset)
Additional rural medicine experience, Indigenous Cultural Safety training, POCUS skills, and experience working in team-based care environments are considered assets
