About the role
Power Your Future with Qualus in our T&D Canada business as a Manager, Engineering - Civil & Structural. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this position is located in our Vancouver, BC office. This dynamic experienced and innovative professional will provide functional leadership in the promotion, development and delivery of civil, structural and architectural expertise.
Responsibilities
- Building and leading a diverse Civil, Structural and Architectural department
- Recruiting, motivating, guiding and supporting staff
- Assigning work and evaluating technical competence
- Providing adequate resources to projects and maintaining appropriate staff levels
- Creating an environment that fosters technical excellence, accuracy and timeliness
- Promoting a common understanding and commitment to department and project objectives
- Overseeing the work of staff through the various projects stages – from conceptual, detailed design and project management to construction
- Establishing good working relationships and communication with area leads, department managers, and clients
Qualifications
- A university degree in engineering coupled with over 15 years of proven industrial experience
- Proven leadership and management skills
- An entrepreneurial approach and the ability to take on challenges in a changing environment
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication and organizational skills
- Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in the province of Saskatchewan with permission to consult

The expected compensation range for this position is based upon several factors, including but not limited to education, qualifications, prior relevant work experience and work location.
