About the role

Position: NPI Lab Support Co-op/Intern

Number of Position(s):
Duration: 4 months+

Date: Jan-Apr

Location: On Site in Ottawa

Educational Recommendations:
Currently a candidate for a diploma in Computer Systems Technician, or a related field, with an accredited school in Canada.

As part of the SR Technical Expertise Centre (TEC), you’ll help set up and maintain complex network topologies, manage servers and virtual machines using ESXi and Linux KVM, and support both Windows and Linux operating systems. This role offers practical exposure to real-world infrastructure supporting critical global networks.

As part of the team, you will:

  • Set up and maintain network topologies

  • Build and manage servers and virtual machines using ESXi and Linux KVM

  • Monitor and maintain Windows and Linux operating systems

  • Support and maintain the lab network infrastructure

  • Knowledge of basic network subnetting, CIDR notation, and IP address/DNS

  • Clear and concise communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail
