About the role
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the Superintendent, Reliability & Plant Engineering within the Reliability & Plant Engineering team, the Supervisor, Inspections is responsible to perform the supervisory duties of the Inspection team and for the development and execution of Condition Assessment Programs within the Asset Integrity Management System. Responsible for leading and supervising the Inspection (In-Service and QA/QC) team, including embedded and temporary contractors. Develop and ensure compliance with all asset integrity programs and practices. Responsible for the development of (commercially driven) workflow processes in conjunction with stakeholders. Establish and maintain quality control and inspection files, and enter related data into spreadsheets. Comply with all regulatory requirements. Develop detailed inspection and test plans (ITP’s) for in-service equipment and piping. Responsible for developing and scheduling pressure equipment inspection intervals and ensure inspections are performed in a timely fashion. Perform field level inspections on pressure equipment and update inspection records. Exercise professional judgment in identifying, mitigating and dispositioning non-conformances. Gather field data for equipment condition monitoring, assist in assessing site equipment vulnerabilities and ensures contingency plans are in place. Ensure appropriate welder qualification testing is complete. Monitor repairs and alterations to equipment to ensure compliance to code and company standards; identify and track non-conformities. Support other departments in maintaining continual compliance with provincial legislation and ensure technical and quality requirements of pressure equipment are met. Exercise control for all budgetary limits and communicate their status on a routine basis (as necessary). Ensure documentation is accurate and easily recoverable. The ideal candidate will have: Minimum 8+ years of experience in inspection, integrity, or reliability within heavy industry (preferably potash, mining, or chemical processing). 5–8 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Strong field experience with: Pressure equipment Corrosion and wear mechanisms Shutdown inspection execution Experience in QA/QC and regulatory compliance within industrial or mining operations. Employment is subject to successfully completing KSPC’s pre-employment checks which may include criminal record check, education verification, functional fitness evaluation and drug and alcohol testing.
