About the role
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse and distribution operations to ensure the efficient, accurate, and timely flow of materials, products, and information throughout the supply chain. This role provides leadership to logistics team members, coordinates inbound and outbound shipments, monitors inventory accuracy, and drives continuous improvement in safety, quality, and operational performance.
Description of Essential Job Functions:
Shipping Operations

Negotiate the price of shipment transportation with carriers.

Coordinate transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.

Combine shipments into truckloads where possible to reduce total costs.

Review sales orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.

Make special shipping arrangements, as necessary.

Ensure on time shipment of customer orders.

Track and fix shipping errors.
Leadership
-
Train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate the performance of shipping and receiving employees.

Assigns daily tasks and distributes workload as needed.

Ensure shipping personnel are properly loading outbound shipments per guidelines.

Ensure warehouse personnel are adhering to procedures.
Logistics Administration
- Respond to customer inquiries and refer clients to the proper channels.
- Ensure that the quality of all services supplied meets the required standards.
- Develop processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized.
- Ensure LN ERP transactions are completed and accurate.
- Prepare and maintain a variety of records and logs and prepare reports as required.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or relevant field is a plus
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in logistics or warehouse operations.
- 1-3 years of functional leadership experience as a supervisor preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environment.
Computer Skills
- Ability to use a personal computer utilizing spreadsheet and word processing software applications, databases, and automated systems to accomplish work.
- Advanced/Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint preferred.
- Experience working with integrated computer programs and/or applications.
- Proficient in ERP systems.
Salary Range - $73,000.00 - $97,000.00 per year
