Job Summary:
The Dispatch Duty Manager is responsible for ensuring the daily airport operation runs in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manager. The Duty Manager will oversee and coordinate team activities to create a safe, reliable, efficient, and effective operation.

Job Duties:
- Models Unifi's Safety goals, mission, vision, and values.
- Promotes adherence through various methods of communication
- Daily allocation and management of manpower, aircraft movement and loading, baggage movement, towing, and cargo operations.
- Allocate, track, order, ship, receive, sign out equipment and supplies.
- Conduct coaching and follow-up as it relates to equipment usage and task assignments.
- Allocate ground service equipment and communicate with our maintenance shop.
- Monitor aircraft movements to identify potential issues and proactively develop solutions balancing our airline partner’s needs with our equipment, ground time, etc. to mitigate the impacts of off-schedule operations on our guests and our KPIs.
- Allocate ground service equipment and communicate with our maintenance shop.
- Collaborate with our airline partners in their control centre, to ensure the best decisions are being made for safety and performance.
- Perform minor repairs to tools.
- Responsible for ensuring direction is provided with challenges impacting baggage movement such as, but not limited to; baggage scanning, flight hold decisions, chargeback analysis, BIWIS operations, baggage recall, disputes, and delays.
- Participate in staff briefings with the Airport's team at the start of every shift, outlining any challenges and opportunities.
- Communicate operational performance feedback to the airline's management team and provide solutions to facilitate effective solutions.
- Monitor future flights to look for potential issues and develop solutions and adjustments with special emphasis on delayed inbound and outbound bags with decisions made towards guests, staffing, equipment needs, available ground time, etc.
- Provide operational feedback to the Duty Manager team regarding staffing opportunities.
- Create and update crew planners.
- Provide and fulfill such other duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent education.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain credentials required as per local authorities.
- Supervisory experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years of relevant work experience in the aviation or ground handling services industry.
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to frequently push, pull, stoop, squat, kneel, bend, lift up to 70lbs and move up to 70lbs; and constantly walk, stand, handle, grasp and reach out. May have to reach above shoulder occasionally.
Working conditions:
- You will need to have flexibility in your schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. We operate 365 24/7 operations.
- Enjoy the outdoors on a daily basis (sun, rain, sleet or snow!) May be exposed to a wide variety of weather conditions, jet and machinery noises, fumes, dirt and dust for extended periods.
- Must be willing and able to travel as operationally needed.
