Our client in the Western Greater Toronto Area is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead their high-volume dealership!
This is an exciting opportunity for a proven automotive leader passionate about operational excellence, team development, and driving dealership performance.
Purpose/Summary of Position:
The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance, profitability, and day-to-day operations of the dealership. Working closely with department managers, this role drives business objectives, operational efficiency, sales growth, and both the customer and employee experience.
The successful candidate will lead by example, coach high-performing teams, and foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee dealership operations, including Sales, Fixed Operations, Finance, and Administration.
- Drive profitability and achievement of operational goals and KPIs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop department managers and staff.
- Champion an exceptional customer experience across all departments.
- Improve operational processes, efficiencies, and compliance.
- Analyze financial and operational reports to support business decisions.
- Recruit, retain, and develop top talent.
- Collaborate with ownership and senior leadership on strategic direction.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Successful Candidates Possess:
- Progressive leadership experience in an automotive dealership environment.
- Proven success in achieving operational and financial performance targets.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- A customer-first mindset and strong business acumen.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Experience with dealership systems and operational technology.
- An unrestricted OMVIC license and a valid driver’s license.
