About the Opportunity
TM Engineering is looking for a full-time CNC Machinist based in Burnaby, B.C. 3rd/4th year Apprentices are welcome to apply!
Shifts will be alternating on a weekly basis from 8:00AM-4:30PM to 9:30AM-6:00PM.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role is responsible for operating and setting up CNC machinery, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring high-quality, precision-manufactured components that meet strict industry standards.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operating and setting up CNC machines
- Interpreting and deciphering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Inspecting machined parts to ensure accuracy and compliance with tolerances
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Following and upholding all company safety and work policies
- Performing routine machine maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Safely moving parts and materials using overhead cranes
- Collaborating with team members to troubleshoot technical issues
- Supporting production schedules by completing tasks efficiently and accurately
- Utilizing measuring instruments and hand tools to verify work
- Contributing to continuous improvement of machining processes
About You
To qualify, you will need completion of a related CNC Machinist training program or equivalent technical education. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment will also be essential. 3rd or 4th year Machinist Apprentices are welcome to apply.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Proficiency using measuring instruments and hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with maintaining machine tools and shop equipment
- Comfort working in a safety-driven, production-focused environment
