Family Practice (300-1082)
We are a primary healthcare team serving the Comox Valley. We believe that health begins with thriving partnerships between patients and their healthcare providers. We aim to provide accessible, timely, and compassionate care to support our patients, through a blend of traditional clinic visits and virtual visits. We aim to engage patients as active participants in their health and utilize innovative technology to progress with the evolving demands of our community. We are also committed to engaging with our broader community through group medical visits, workshops, and other events.
We aim to leverage technology to streamline our workflows, and create office efficiencies to keep overhead low. Each of our physicians does some work from home, virtual or admin. We use a modern EMR, Inputhealth.
Hours of Work:
- Hours are flexible. Minimum of 1.5 days a week in clinic to ensure patient access.
Remuneration:
- Longitudinal Family Practice (LFP) payment model, or New to Practice Salary contract if approved by the Ministry of Health
Overhead:
- Initial overhead is 25% of received billings for LFP, and for New to Practice contract, overhead is provided by Island Health - at $75 000 per year, prorated for FTE.
Benefits:
May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including:
- Recruitment Incentive - $10,000
- Fee Premium - 6.09%;
- Annual Flat Fee - $9,437.76;
- Relocation Costs Reimbursement: up to a maximum of $15,000 (amount based on funding availability and on location relocating from);
- Rural CME starting at $2,200/annum in years 3 & 4 in the community, increasing to a maximum of $4,400/annum after 4 years
