Gastops is seeking an experienced MRO Technician to join our Operations team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The purpose of this role is to perform high-quality Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) activities on a variety of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electro-optical components used on rotary and fixed wing aircraft.

What You’ll Do

The position of MRO Technician will report directly to the MRO Supervisor and be located at our office in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia at 109 Williams Ave, Unit #10 in the Burnside Industrial Park. This facility provides component Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) services and condition monitoring solutions to commercial and military aircraft in Canada and across the world. The facility and its operations are ISO 9001:2015 and Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) certified.

As a member of the Service Centre team, the MRO Technician will have a primary focus on the repair, overhaul and test of aircraft components and test equipment. . Specific duties will include:

Execute testing, troubleshooting, disassembly, cleaning, repair, assembly, painting, and/or manufacturing of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components and sub-assemblies. Complete and document work in a professional manner and in accordance with all applicable standards (ISO, AS9100, Transport Canada, internal procedures, etc.) Maintain detailed maintenance records in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations. Enter and maintain data in company software and/or ERP systems. Provide technical support and/or training to customers, remotely or at customer worksites as required Annual international travel to receive factory training Participate in the development of maintenance and test methods, work instructions and procedures for new and existing components.

What you should bring:

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or relevant technical diploma. Equivalent experience may be considered. 3+ years experience completing Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul in aerospace or similar industry. Excellent electrical aptitude and a strong understanding of circuits, components, and electronic systems Proficiency in hands-on electronics assembly, inspection, testing and repair Ability to read, interpret, and apply work instructions, engineering drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals for various components. Familiarity with mechanical inspection and repair is an asset. Awareness of ISO 9001 quality systems. Working knowledge of Transport Canada regulations related to aircraft maintenance activities is an asset. Eligible to obtain Controlled Goods clearance. Ability to travel internationally.
