About the role
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by managing inventory, fulfilling orders, and maintaining a safe working environment. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the capacity for critical thinking.
Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming medical equipment and supplies, verifying quantities and checking for damage against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment, ensuring all items match order specifications and are appropriately packaged for safe transport.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, dollies) safely and efficiently to move and store materials.
- Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies, reporting any issues to the Warehouse Manager.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse in a clean, orderly, and accessible manner, adhering to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Safely and repeatedly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs overhead.
- Identify and resolve issues related to inventory, shipping, or receiving with a critical thinking approach.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, particularly those related to handling medical equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse & Inventory Manager.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a warehouse or similar physical labor environment preferred.
- Ability to consistently lift and carry 50 lbs overhead.
- Exceptional attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain a tidy and efficient workspace.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills to problem-solve and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and reach for extended periods.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and order processing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience with medical supplies or equipment is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
This position requires significant physical exertion, including the ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects weighing up to 50lbs regularly and occasionally overhead. The role involves prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
