With over 17,000 members of Team THP, we are advancing our Plan to 2030 – a bold strategy focused on delivering better experiences for patients and teams, reducing hospitalization, and strengthening care across our communities.

The Senior Communications Advisor plays a critical role in advancing this work by leading strategic communications and engagement for regional digital health initiatives delivered through the Central South Local Delivery Group (LDG). This is a senior advisory role suited to an experienced communications professional who thrives in complex environments, brings strong strategic judgement, and is motivated by work that has system-level impact.

In this role, Trillium Health Partners sets strategic direction, coordinates partners, and supports the adoption of digital solutions that improve access to care and strengthen coordination across the health system.

The LDG brings together hospitals and health care partners across the region to deliver digital initiatives – such as eReferral and Central Intake – that make it easier for patients to access care and for health care teams to work together. As LDG lead, Trillium Health Partners champions best practices, ensures alignment across organizations, and fosters collaboration to drive meaningful system level change.

Key Responsibilities As a Senior Communications Advisor, you will:

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated communication and engagement plans for regional digital health initiatives
  • Translate complex, technical, and system-level information into clear, compelling, and accessible communications for diverse audiences
  • Develop high-quality communications materials that may include communication plans, key messages, briefing notes, presentations, newsletters, memos, and stakeholder updates
  • Support change management and adoption by aligning communications with project milestones and partner needs
  • Coordinate messaging across internal teams, external partners, and regional stakeholders to ensure consistency and clarity
  • Identify and manage communications risks and emerging issues, working closely with project and communications leadership
  • Strategically leverage digital, web, and social media channels to support engagement and awareness where appropriate
  • Build strong working relationships with clinical, operational, technical, and communications colleagues across organizations

Qualifications And Experience We are looking for a communications professional who brings:

  • A university degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in communications or public affairs, ideally within complex or matrixed organizations
  • Demonstrated experience providing strategic communications counsel to senior leaders and project teams
  • Exceptional writing and editing abilities, with a solid understanding of Canadian Press Style and a demonstrated capacity to tailor tone and content for diverse audiences
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Sound judgement, systems thinking, and comfort working in environments with ambiguity and change
  • Experience in health care, digital health, government, or large public-sector organizations is an asset
  • Familiarity with regional health systems or multi-partner initiatives is an asset
