The role we are offering:

We are looking for a technician specializing in flight control and simulator movement with experience in hardware testing, controls, and movement, which is an asset but not required. The technician will be required to work closely with engineers and perform tasks on all types of aircraft and/or helicopters.

The candidate will be responsible for the following duties, among others:

  • Integration and hardware/software calibration of flight control and simulator movement systems, including friction and dynamic response testing.
  • Responsible for performing automatic validation tests on simulator systems.
  • Responsible for fine-tuning systems prior to acceptance testing.
  • Providing technical support during acceptance testing and simulator qualification.
  • Identifying and eliminating problems (hardware and software) in conjunction with the relevant engineers and technicians.
  • Liaising with customers, pilots, and engineers from various CAE departments.

The enthusiast we are looking for has:

  • College diploma in avionics, mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of electromechanical system calibration.
  • Good troubleshooting skills (hardware and software).
  • Experience with various simulator systems and performance systems (aerodynamics, flight control, motion systems, sound, engine) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of various aircraft systems is an asset.
  • Strong ability to take charge of projects and work independently.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proactive and flexible personality, team spirit.
  • Availability to travel frequently to customer sites.
  • Knowledge of CAE simulation technology is an asset.
  • Availability for on-call emergency support via cell phone.
