About the role
One of our manufacturing client in Windsor-Essex is looking for Buyer for their facility.
Pay - $65k-$80k
Shift - Days
Key Responsibilities
Procure MRO items including spare parts, machine components, tooling, PPE, and maintenance supplies Create and manage purchase orders (POs), ensuring accuracy in pricing, lead times, and quantities Source and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performance Negotiate pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements with vendors Maintain optimal inventory levels of critical spare parts to avoid production downtime Work closely with Maintenance and Production teams to forecast demand and prioritize urgent requirements Expedite orders and resolve supply chain or vendor-related issues Track supplier performance and implement cost-saving initiatives Support RFQs, vendor onboarding, and continuous improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with procurement policies, safety standards, and manufacturing requirements
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field 3+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of MRO procurement and spare parts management Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) Strong negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
