About the role
IT Support Technician will be required to work on various projects related to different IT programs. He/she will be primarily responsible for first-level support. This includes diagnosing and resolving issues both in person and remotely.
The Technician will report to the IT Service Supervisor.
Responsibilities

Provide technical support to employees and resolve IT issues.

Prepare computer equipment for staff.
-
Collaborate with external IT vendors to resolve incidents;
-
Manage inventory and maintain IT equipment.
-
Install and configure hardware and software for employees.
-
Ensure proper functioning of IT infrastructure.
-
Ensure proper VPN connectivity.
-
Work with an incident management system and follow up on incidents from start to finish;
-
Create, update, and maintain appropriate documentation and inventory records;
-
Participate in drafting technical support procedures;
-
Perform any other related tasks aligned with the objectives of the IT department.
Qualifications

3–5 years of experience;
-
Knowledge and experience with Windows 7 (or later versions), Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange.

Knowledge and experience with Android phones, preferably Samsung.

Knowledge and experience in IT service management (ITSM);
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills (French and English), as the role requires communication with our U.S. offices;

Respect for confidentiality in task execution;
-
Demonstrates attention to detail and thoroughness;
-
Ability to work with minimal supervision;
-
Knowledge of Xerox large-format printers is an asset;
-
Intermediate bilingualism (French and English), both spoken and written. (The employee in this position will interact more than 50% of the time with clients, suppliers, and colleagues internationally (United States) who only understand and communicate in English.)
