Our Canadian Mental Health team—composed of licensed therapists, psychiatrists, and psychologists— continues to grow. We are currently seeking a compassionate Psychiatrist in Quebec who is passionate about supporting people and eager to help shape the future of mental healthcare across Canada through innovative virtual care.

Position Summary

In this role, you will conduct one-time virtual psychiatric assessments for members seeking diagnostic clarification, treatment guidance, or support navigating the mental health system. You will review a pre-compiled clinical summary, meet with the member via secure video, and produce a comprehensive written report with evidence-based recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Consultation Management: Promptly review and respond to consultation requests based on your availability, providing open appointment slots within the program's scheduled timeframes. Clinical Review: Evaluate the member’s pre-compiled clinical summary, intake notes, and relevant medical records prior to the session. Virtual Assessment: Conduct a structured, comprehensive virtual psychiatric evaluation. Diagnostic Clarification: Provide expert diagnostic formulation and differential diagnosis. Treatment Guidance: Develop evidence-based recommendations, including pharmacotherapy optimization and psychotherapeutic modalities. Report Authorship: Prepare and submit a detailed, high-quality expert report using Teladoc’s templates Documentation: Maintain compliant clinical charting on secure Teladoc platforms.

About the MHN Program

There is uncertainty regarding their diagnosis. They require independent expert guidance on complex treatment options or next steps.

Note: Teladoc Health Canada psychiatrists provide consultative recommendations only. Members are provided with a comprehensive report to share with their primary care team or treating physicians for implementation.

Comprehensive Internal Support

To minimize your administrative burden and allow you to focus entirely on the clinical assessment, Teladoc provides a dedicated, multidisciplinary support team for every case: Case Coordinator: Handles all scheduling, appointment booking, and technical coordination with the member. Medical Records Coordinator: Collects, organizes, and condenses relevant medical documentation into a clinical summary before you meet the member. Case Manager (Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, or RN): Conducts the initial psychosocial intake, supports the member throughout the process, and handles all post-assessment follow-ups.

What You’ll Need

Licensing & Credentials Medical License: Active registration in good standing with the Collège des médecins du Québec (CMQ).
