CBI Home Health is looking to hire Operations Manager in Brandon, MB for a 6 month term.

What you will do
- Work with the Team Leads to ensure that the daily operation of assigned homes meets with regional licensing and CBI standards and they are providing direction to staff aligned with policies and procedures and professional conduct.
- Create an environment that aligns with CBI’s purpose and values, drawing and retaining high-performing talent that naturally lives the values of the organization.
- Work with the Director/SMO to foster and deepen relationships with existing business partners and stakeholders to increase volume with existing services and to identify gaps that create new service delivery opportunities.
- Manage the daily operation of assigned residences to assure quality services that meet the therapeutic, social, emotional, health, and safety needs of the clients, in accordance with CBI Health Group’s Philosophy of Care, established Policies & Procedures, Standards of Conduct, Best Practices, and regulatory requirements
- Provide team leadership for our residential homes, schedule Child Care Workers and Team Lead staff, provide home-specific onboarding and training, and ensure team members understand their roles and are performing to expectations
- Monitor Client and staff's safety, minimize risks and ensure the environment is safe at all times
- Manage ongoing maintenance of all residences and equipment, ensuring monthly inspections are completed to ensure safety standards, codes and licensing requirements are met
- Ensure homes are well stocked with groceries and household supplies
- Work collaboratively with the Clinical Care Manager in hiring Team Lead and Direct Support Worker staff, developing monthly outing plans, and ensuring follow through on the Individual Support Plan, Plan of Care, and Behavioural Support Plan
- Liaise proactively with other business partners in Operations, People and Culture, IT, Marketing, Finance, Quality and Risk, sharing best practices and collaborating on provincial or national initiatives
- Ensure all individual needs and contractual obligations are met or exceeded while maintaining alignment with the budget and business needs
- Ensure monthly financial and key performance indicator (KPI) reports and results for the region and independent business units are analyzed and actioned.
Supervision/Management
- Supervision and management of staff
- Assist in ensuring adherence to policies and procedures as well as regional licensing requirements.
- Assist in training and onboarding of Team Leads and Direct Support Specialists
- Assist in ensuring Team Leads and Direct Support Specialists are well aligned with the Key Accountabilities of their role and are meeting performance expectations including execution of recreation and activity plans.
- Recruitment of front-line staff.
- Conduct to probationary reviews and annual performance reviews and performance management, and improvement plans.
- Contribute too solutions and support, often in collaboration with the Manager, when there are challenging performance issues
- Delivery of disciplinary warnings and terminations.
- Ensures that mandatory and annual training requirements provided by Human Resources are complete and gaps addressed
- Report workplace injuries in reporting system and the workplace injury report is forwarded to the appropriate manager.
Documentation and Administration:
- Provide support and guidance to Operations Supervisor and Team Lead with ensuring accurate records of house petty cash and the client’s personal cash, escalating concerns or challenges to managers when needed.
- Assists with monitoring client’s finances (expenditures, reimbursements, may include reconciling the client’s personal funds at month end). Completes audits as per policy.
What you will need to be successful
Required Qualifications:

Have post-secondary education in a Health Facility Operations, Business or Public Administration or a related discipline (Asset)
-
Have a minimum of 2 – 5 years management experience in an operations role, health care environment is an asset (experience in a residential & transitional setting would be preferred).

Ability to work a flexible schedule to include on-call hours

Have a track record of successful health care operations management and/or residential home management.

Inspire team work with a high degree of professionalism.

Be open to direction and works well in a collaborative and fast paced environment.

Possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work as part of a team in a multi-tasking environment.
