Guest Experience Ambassador – Job Description

What You Will Be Doing

As a Guest Experience Ambassador, you are the welcoming face of Four Points Halifax—a key member of the primary guest-contact team responsible for delivering an exceptional Bonvoy-level service experience. Your mission is to know our guests, anticipate their needs, and curate memorable, personalized moments throughout their stay.

You will be a knowledgeable representative of Halifax and Nova Scotia, cultivating strong relationships with partners who support the elite concierge function—including tour providers, restaurants, theatres, and travel companies etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare for guest arrivals by coordinating with the Maintenance, Front Office, and Housekeeping teams.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all guests and visitors, proactively, professionally, and with follow-up.
  • Build strong knowledge of local dining, attractions, transport, and airport services.
  • Maintain positive relationships with local vendors and merchants.
  • Organize and deliver guest correspondence prior to arrival.
  • Act as an ambassador for Four Points Halifax, ensuring memorable guest experiences.
  • Manage guest data in PMS, process reservations, guest check-ins, check-outs, and preferences.
  • Monitor room availability to support revenue management.
  • Respond to guest inquiries calmly, professionally and in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Lightspeed, Quore and Marriott guest recognition systems and utilize them effectively.
  • Maintain strong understanding of Marriott Bonvoy Loyalty Program.

Your Experience & Skills

  • 1–2 years of hotel or service experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Halifax areas, dining, and attractions.
  • Experience with office software, POS, and phone systems is an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with discretion and professionalism.
  • Desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to recommend a wide range of local experiences.
