Your Impact:
OpenText is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and governing scalable, secure, and integrated end-to-end solutions across key corporate domains, focusing onHR but also encompassing Finance, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Customer Success.
You will lead the development of Conceptual Architecture (Gate 1) and Logical Solution Architecture (Gate 2), ensuring alignment with OpenText’s enterprise standards before presenting to the Architecture Review Board (ARB) for approval. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate business requirements into robust technical solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
As a Principal Solution Architect, you will:
- Leading solution architecture for enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT strategy.
- Developing Conceptual Architecture (Gate 1) and Logical Solution Architecture (Gate 2) deliverables for ARB review and approval.
- Collaborating with business stakeholders, domain architects, and engineering teams to define scalable and secure solution designs.
- Evaluating new systems, technologies, and integration patterns to enhance corporate domain capabilities (Finance, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Customer Success).
- Ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture principles, security policies, and governance standards.
- Supporting M activities by assessing technical fit, defining integration strategies, and consolidating acquired systems.
- Providing technical leadership in blueprinting, requirements gathering, and design workshops.
- Creating and maintaining architecture artifacts, including solution diagrams, technical specifications, decision logs, and point of view documents.
What you need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience with the SuccessFactors suite and other HCM systems (including but not limited to EC, RCM, RMK, ONB 2.0, PMGM, Compensation and Analytics)
- Experience developing end-to-end solutions with ERP platforms/solutions like SAP and CRM solutions like Salesforce
- Experience with implementations of SuccessFactors Employee Central
- 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, with expertise in designing enterprise-level solutions for corporate functions (Finance, Sales, Marketing, Legal, HR, or Customer Success).
- Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, SaaS platforms, and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Strong working knowledge on data and application integration architecture along with practical experience on designing systems/solutions to meet non-functional needs
- Experience presenting and defending architecture proposals to governance bodies (e.g., ARB, IT leadership).
- Familiarity with TOGAF, ArchiMate, or other architecture frameworks is a plus.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions while balancing scalability, security, and cost.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in M technical due diligence and post-merger integration is an asset.
- Experience with working on Learning Management Systems is a strong plus
- Strong understanding of HR and LMS specific business processes
