YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Construction Engineering Superintendent, you will be part of the Construction Department. You will ensure that the engineering activities are developed in accordance with the company’s quality standards. You will play an important role in the follow-up of construction activities at the project site. You will ensure that goals and objectives are attained, in alignment with Agnico Eagle’s company culture, health, safety, and environmental code of conduct.
- Create, maintain, review and administer engineering scope, budget and schedule with a multi-disciplinary team;
- Deliver the project on schedule target with the appropriate level of quality;
- Liaise with stakeholders of each projects (Discipline leads, Engineers, project Control Manager, Construction Manager, Procurement team and external contractors and suppliers) ;
- Present and summarize information for internal meetings and review of the project ;
- Coordination with Operations teams ;
- Replace the Engineering Superintendent when required;
- Respect and promote the standards of the company and the governmental policies and regulations at play.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, including engineering development in all disciplines, management, electrical, mechanical, building studies, surveying and/or civil;
- Be a member of a professional association (e.g. OIQ) ;
- 10 years of experience related to mining construction;
- Supervisory experience and strong leadership capabilities;
- Strategic thinking and understanding of critical issues related to project management aspects;
- Ability to build consensus, rally support around common goals and to motivate groups and individuals;
- Proficiency in the use of the English language as you will be working in collaboration with other Agnico Eagle sites where English is the primary language.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday.
- Workplace: Wasamac office (Rouyn-Noranda, QC) and occasional travels on construction sites and consulting firms.
