About the role
Hiring a fulltime position with the Halifax Class Frigate In-service Support (ISS) integration and test team in our Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Stadacona, Halifax location once the necessary security clearances have been granted by the Government of Canada (CANADA). The Candidate will be involved in the Halifax Class Frigate In-Service Support (ISS) Program, including the total engineering life cycle from specification, design, development, and integration and test.
The Candidate will function in a multi-disciplined team environment. We take advantage of advanced engineering practices and modern technologies to design, develop and integrate combat systems. The candidate will participate in all appropriate testing activities including but not limited to:
- Develop and execute tests using the Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) automated test tool suite
- Develop test plans and procedures to test software requirements in an Agile environment
- Develop and execute tests to verify the functionality of the integrated software
- Document results in the Test Management System
- Document, access and test defects using our defect tracking tool to document results
What you bring to the role
- Degree from an accredited university in a related discipline, or equivalent experience / combined education with 0-2 years professional experience will be considered or military/civilian technical training with 0-2 years of professional experience
- Must be willing to support schedule environment including evenings and weekends as required
- Aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment
- Have a high degree of initiative and autonomy
- Have a high learning ability
- Must be able to obtain a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret level security Clearance in a timely manner
Additional skills desired for the role
- Software test experience
- Software test Automation experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
- Familiarity with Linux is considered an asset
- Familiarity with Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS®)
- Experience with Agile Scrum methodology is considered an asset
- Experience with Military Naval domain and Operations
- Experience in Combat Management System 330 (CMS 330) operation is considered an asset Active NATO Secret security clearance is considered an asset.
