About this Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Metering and Operational Data eGIS****Analystwill ensure consistent daily operation and maintenance of our enterprise GIS, working closely with field crews, technical services, and engineering departments. TheGIS Analystwill be involved in and provide support for the organizational digital transformation and implementation.

We are seeking a proactive individual who demonstrates strong initiative and a sense of ownership in their work. The ideal candidate will contribute innovative ideas, confidently lead projects from concept through completion, and approach emerging technologies with curiosity and adaptability. This role requires someone who is comfortable evaluating solutions, making well-informed decisions, and implementing forward-thinking approaches with minimal supervision, while ensuring project outcomes stay on track.

This newly created position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from**$73,224 to $109,836**. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, and overall fit for the role. In addition to the base salary Oshawa Power offers highly competitive benefits, employee reimbursement programs, and bonus structure.

As the successful applicant, you will have the opportunity to be involved with:

  • Perform daily maintenance and updates to existing software;
  • Develop and maintain GIS maps, dashboards, and reporting tool for internal users;
  • Document workflows, contribute to GIS standards, and support training for internal users;
  • Provide end-to-end utility involvement in a third-party implementation of ESRI Utility Network deployment;
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control of Engineering as-constructed drawings;
  • Provide support for organizational digital transformation and implementation;
  • Support optimization and troubleshooting of mobile data collection tools;
  • Collaborate with internal departments for GIS system planning and implementation.

WHAT YOU HAVE TO OFFER:

  • Post Graduate GIS Certificate, or Post Secondary Undergrad equivalent;
  • Minimum 5 years of related GIS experience preferred;
  • Experience with ESRI, ArcGIS Pro 3.1, and Utility Network Software;
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities;
  • Understanding of geospatial data models, topology, projection systems, and asset management practices;
  • Ability to confidently collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
