Role: Data Engineer (MS Fabric)
Duration: 6-month contract

Background
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong, hands-on Microsoft Fabric delivery experience to support a client in the healthcare technology sector. This role will focus on designing and implementing modern, scalable data solutions using Fabric-native capabilities, going beyond traditional Synapse and Power BI implementations.
Candidates with prior healthcare or health-tech experience are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and deliver end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric Develop and implement Fabric-native architectures, including Lakehouse, OneLake, and DirectLake Build and manage data pipelines and deployment pipelines within Fabric Design and optimize data models, data lakes, and warehouse solutions Integrate data from multiple sources while ensuring data quality, governance, and reliability Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data requirements and solutions Support reporting and analytics through Fabric and Power BI integration Apply best practices for data governance, security, and performance optimization
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Data Engineer Hands-on delivery experience with Microsoft Fabric (beyond Synapse and Power BI) Strong expertise in: Lakehouse architecture OneLake and DirectLake Fabric deployment pipelines Experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake) Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar Strong experience with ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and cloud-based data platforms Experience in healthcare or healthcare technology environments is preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Disclaimer: This role is for an external client project supported by Kyndryl and is not a direct hire with Kyndryl Canada.
