Position Summary Ww are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our Research and Development team. You will work closely with the Mechanical Engineer to design, test and improve our products. Your role will be to support R&D and production activities, carry out tests of all kinds, analyze data and contribute to the development of new mechanical, electrical, aesthetic and other solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assist the mechanical engineer in product design and development.
- Participate in mechanical, electrical and production tests and experiments.
- Analyze results and suggest improvements.
- Collaborate with the team to solve technical problems.
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement of products and production.
- Ensure proper operation of equipment in the laboratory.
- Analyze causes of breakdowns during test stoppages.
Manufacturing
- In charge of manufacturing certain prototype parts.
- Assemble prototypes for validation.
- Modification of existing parts for prototypes and production.
- Repair or modification of laboratory stations.
Mindset, Skills & Education
- Degree in mechanical engineering or similar experience.
- Previous R&D experience (an asset).
- Knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, etc.) (an asset).
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
- Ability to use tools of all kinds.
