We are on the lookout for hard-working, reliable, and skilled individuals to add to the Production Team at our Cranbrook, BC facility. This Production Labourer position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working with their hands in a team setting, has experience within a manufacturing or related facility, and has working knowledge of various shop equipment and hand tools such as table, chop and radial arm saws, drills, staple guns, measuring tapes, etc.Job ResponsibilitesThe main responsibilities of the Production Labourer are as follows:
- Assembly of sign cabinets and frames.
- Crate finished signs and prepare for shipping.
- Crosstrain within and provide assistance as directed to all production team departments (crating, etc.).
- Assist with the loading of trucks when needed.
- Read and execute shop drawing files generated by Design/Drafting departments.
- Wire lights, power boxes, switches and power supplies for LED and florescent lighted signage.
- Assist with the maintenance of equipment through preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and/or calling for repairs.
- Commit to creating a clean, safe and efficient work environment (Lean).
Key Competencies/Skills:

Router, welding and/or painting experience is an asset.

Experience reading and interpretting blueprint / shop drawings.

A working knowledge and experience in operating shop powered and non-powered tools; CNC equipment experience is ideal.

Skilled in measuring and cutting accurately.

A strong attention to detail and a commitment to building an excellent product.

Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing facility with strict timelines.

Capable of standing on feet for 8 hours per day and lifting moderate/heavy loads.

Concerned with the safety of themselves and of team members.
Additional information:

Wage Rate: $20.00-25.00; negotiable based on experience
-
General Working Hours: 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday-Friday. Overtime as required.

Full benefits after completing probationary period

Breaks: 1/2hr unpaid lunch + two 20 min paid breaks
