POSITION SUMMARY
The Chapter Liaison Officer is a full-time role based in Saskatoon with Canadian Parents for French - Saskatchewan (CPF-SK). Serving as the main link between the Branch and local chapters, the officer supports volunteer leaders, strengthens chapter capacity, and promotes French-second-language education across the province. Responsibilities include communication, membership support, coordination of events and initiatives, and ensuring alignment with CPF’s mission.
Your main objectives will be to:

Serve as the primary liaison between CPF-SK and local chapter volunteers.

Support and guide chapter executives in planning, governance and volunteer engagement.

Facilitate clear and consistent communication between the Branch Office and chapters.
-
Promote CPF programs, events and initiatives that advance French-second-language education.
-
Assist with membership growth, retention and volunteer recruitment activities.
-
Coordinate and attend meetings, training sessions and community events across the province.
-
Monitor and report on chapter activities to ensure alignment with CPF’s mission and policies.
-
Develop and share resources, tools and best practices to strengthen chapter operations.
-
Collaborate with staff and volunteers to support strategic goals and special projects.
-
Travel regularly within Saskatchewan and work occasional evenings or weekends as required.
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
Full-time position (37.5 hrs/wk) until March 31st, 2026. Renewal planned on a yearly basis, dependent on confirmed funding.
Starting salary, that is paid by-weekly, is commensurate with experience and qualifications ($40,000 – $50,000) annually. The selected candidate’s performance will be evaluated after the completion of a three-month probationary period. Eligible for Group Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance & Disability) after 90 days.
SALARY CONTROL POINT
The salary grid control point for this position is $45,000. This amount reflects an employee who possesses all the required skills, qualifications, and experience for the role. Typically, candidates are hired between the minimum and this control point, considering internal equity, experience and job readiness. Starting salaries above this range may be considered based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications and skills.
QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English.
-
Post-secondary education in a related field (education, communications or community development).
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management position, particularly with volunteers, in the education sector or a related field.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Excellent organization and time management abilities.
-
Strong technology skills in Microsoft Office applications and virtual communication tools (Teams).
ADDITIONAL CRITERIA
-
Candidates must legally be entitled to work in Canada.
-
Experience in the not-for-profit sector, member or volunteer-driven organizations, is considered an asset.
-
Supports promoting learning of both official languages and a bilingual Canada.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
-
The Regular office hours are between 9:00 to 5:00 (CST), Monday to Friday. The person must have the ability to work evenings and weekends as required. The position will require travelling.

May involve occasional light physical tasks (e.g., lifting office supplies or equipment up to 20 lbs).
