Job Description
The operator will adjust his machine, respecting established standards and the order of priorities.
Role and responsibilities
Checks that batches of material dedicated to the operation are adequate. Regularly checks with the “Buffer Manager” that the order of priority of tasks is adequate and corresponds to the requirements of the production flow according to TOC principles. The operator communicates with his team leader any anomalies or variants in the product so as to eliminate from production faulty parts which could be rejected further down the production line. The operator adjusts the machine according to the type of material used. The operator places parts at the machine infeed and retrieves them at the outfeed. Repeats operation if necessary. Re-arrange parts into batches, ready for the next stage of production.
Perform assembly tasks as required
All other related tasks are considered part of the role and may be assigned as needed.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
High school diploma, equivalent or work experience Manual dexterity and attention to detail Technical problem-solving skills Ability to work in a group Ability to adapt quickly to different situations Positive attitude Ability to lift and push 50 pounds, 50 times per day.
Knowledge of the VKS system – an asset
