About the role

Job Description **Part-time Receptionist – 3 days per week, 19.5hrs, 9am-4pm

Trillium Court – Kincardine, ON** We are currently seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Receptionist to join our team at Trillium Court. As the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and staff, the Receptionist plays a key role in creating a welcoming environment and supporting the daily operations of our home.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the key responsibilities will include but not limited to clerical/ business office and systems, and accounting duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • To answer all incoming calls, and respond to caller's inquiries in a positive, professional manner;
  • To redirect calls as appropriate and take clear, concise messages when required;
  • To greet, assist and direct all visitors;
  • To pick up and sort internal mail;
  • To prepare packages and arrange courier pick up;
  • To update phone and distribution lists;
  • To maintain a clean, safe, fully stocked and well organized reception area;
  • To assist with projects as required by other administrative support (i.e. labels, bulk mailing, document creation, meeting minutes, etc.);
  • To assist with processing invoices in our accounts payable system;
  • To complete other duties as assigned;
  • To uphold and promote the organization’s values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, morality, and integrity as set out in Extendicare’s Code of Conduct.

Required Education, Credentials And Experience

  • Above average interpersonal, oral and written communication skills;
  • Previous experience in reception is considered an asset;
  • Must exhibit professional and polished telephone manner;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once, work under pressure, and meet deadlines;
  • Highly organized and detail focused;
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-Mail)
  • Current (within 6 months) Vulnerable Sector Screening.
