Tritech Group is a leader in the water infrastructure industry in Western Canada. We are looking for a Truck Driver/Shop Labourer to join our growing Langley team. This is a great role for someone who is supportive, willing and helpful, and wants to develop their career in water/wastewater infrastructure. RESPONSIBILITIES:
TECHNICAL
- Perform various manual labour tasks to support manufacturing operations.
- Operate various motor vehicles up to and including three axle straight trucks and towing trailers. Vehicles may be equipped with automatic or manual transmissions.
- Operate dump trucks on construction jobsites and pick up materials from pits.
- Plan safe and efficient transport routes based on road and traffic conditions.
- Operate forklifts and other shop equipment as trained.
- Load, unload, and ship equipment, materials, and supplies to project sites and other company facilities and storage.
- Manage shop inventory by tracking incoming and outgoing materials and
- Use a variety of hand and power tools and machinery safely and to company policies and procedures.
- Assist the Fleet/Shop Maintenance department with performing maintenance and repairs on the Tritech facilities as requested.
- Perform basic services (cleaning, washing, etc.) on a variety of vehicle and equipment as directed by the Fleet/Shop Maintenance department.
- Maintain a clean shop by removing and putting away unwanted materials and tools and other housekeeping tasks as required or assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:

Valid Class 3 Manual BC driver’s license with an air brakes endorsement, Class 1 BC driver’s license is an asset.

Reliable transportation and a clean drivers record
-
Secondary school diploma, or equivalent, is preferred.

The following training and certifications are required:
- Construction Safety Training Systems Certificate (CSTS), or SiteReadyBC Online Construction Safety Orientation Certificate
- First Aid Certificate

The following training and certifications are preferred:
- Traffic Control Person Certification
- Forklift Operator Certification
- Telehandler Certification
-
Experience loading and unloading a variety of construction equipment from trailers is preferred.

Experience operating dump trucks is preferred.
-
Experience working with a variety of hand and power tools and machinery is preferred.
-
Apprenticeship or specialization, or willingness to take one on is an asset.
-
Knowledge of safe hoisting and rigging procedures is preferred.
-
Experience working on an active construction site, preference is given to those with experience working in water/wastewater infrastructure.

Must be able to supply own steel-toed safety boots.
-
Must be willing and able to complete a variety of labor duties when not operating vehicles, or other equipment.

Must successfully pass a 50lb fitness assessment prior to starting.

Excellent communication skills and command of the English language, both written and verbal.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
-
Majority of work will be completed in a shop or active construction site environment where there may be hot, cold, and wet conditions

Exposure to elevated levels of noise
-
May be exposed to hazardous materials, such as fumes from paint, glue, etc.

May be exposed to hazardous equipment
-
Standing for extended periods of time
-
Heavy and repetitive lifting

Tritech Industries was initially established in 1981 to build mechanical systems for the water and wastewater industry in British Columbia. After a change of vision and leadership, we were reincorporated as a water and wastewater construction and applications specialist in 1989.
Since the early 1990’s, our current CEO and President, Jack Gill, has led Tritech from a small company to an established and trusted industry leader with a growing team of over 70 employees.
