Job overview: The Salesforce Administrator – CPQ Systems [JM1] plays a critical role in supporting Ross’ go-to-market strategies by enabling seamless operations across CRM (Salesforce.com), CPQ (Apttus/Conga), and other commercial platforms. This role serves as a key partner to both the Sales and Product Management teams, ensuring system functionality aligns with business objectives and enhances operational efficiency. In collaboration with the Product team, the Salesforce Administrator manages day-to-day system and product setup activities, including the creation and configuration of various product types (e.g., standalone, bundles). They proactively troubleshoot quoting and ordering issues, assist with pricing configurations, and recommend enhancements to CRM and CPQ processes that improve product marketing and sales enablement. On the Sales side, the Salesforce Administrator provides hands-on support to resolve quoting, pricing, and ordering challenges, while also contributing to the development and refinement of client-facing proposal documents. With a strong focus on process optimization, this role continuously improves workflows and documentation and will eventually lead strategic projects related to Salesforce and CPQ system enhancements.
Who you report to : Manager, Commercial Operations – CPQ Systems
What the job is all about:
- Provide day-to-day support to Sales and Product Management teams across commercial systems including Apttus/Conga CPQ[JM2] [LH3] and Salesforce (SFDC).
- Act as a super user and primary point of contact for product marketing and sales teams, addressing system-related questions and troubleshooting issues.
- Assist in maintaining and updating product and pricing data within Salesforce, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business needs.
- Research, evaluate, and implement new commercial system functionalities (e.g., guided selling, machine learning, Agentforce) to improve quoting and selling processes.
- Diagnose and resolve quoting, pricing, and ordering issues, ensuring smooth operations and timely support for Sales activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance client-facing proposal documents and ensure they reflect accurate product and pricing information.
- Recommend and implement process improvements for CRM and CPQ systems to optimize efficiency and support strategic initiatives.
- Document and maintain system processes and procedures to support training, scalability, and operational consistency.
- Lead and contribute to strategic projects focused on Salesforce and CPQ system enhancements, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Who you are: Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Salesforce.com administration or development; Salesforce certification is highly desired.
- Experience supporting Sales and Product Management functions in a commercial systems environment.
- Familiarity with CPQ platforms (preferably Revenue Cloud) and quote-to-order processes.
- Knowledge of sales processes and/or direct experience in a sales role.
- Understanding of product management and marketing processes.
Technical Proficiency
- Intermediate proficiency in Salesforce.com, including product and pricing configuration, rule creation, and data management.
- Basic proficiency with standard office tools such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Ability to research and implement new system functionalities (e.g., guided selling, machine learning, price rules, Agentforce).
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand and solve complex system requirements.
- Detail-oriented and passionate about accuracy in data and system configuration.
- Proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements.
Communication & Collaboration
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present confidently to groups of 10–20 people.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Comfortable translating technical concepts into user-friendly language for non-technical stakeholders.

- Skilled in planning, scheduling, and documenting system processes and procedures.
