About The Role Working in a fast-paced Agile development environment, Data Scientist’s at Fairstone routinely interact in a hands-on manner with all lines of business and corporate functions to identify opportunities and deliver solutions at scale based on AI/ML models. We offer the right balance of scale, robust data, talent, and commitment for you to engage as a data scientist and make a very meaningful impact on the business. As a greenfield opportunity, you will spend less time discussing and talking about advanced analytics theory and searching for data, and more time developing new and exciting ways to move the business forward using analytics. You will also collaborate with other data scientists, business information analysts, and partners to define optimal processes for how the company leverages data science and advanced analytics.
We want you to help us find new growth opportunities, make improvements in our business processes, and understand changes in the business environment to support our on-going optimization. You will also provide significant input into how we can improve and enhance our data & analytics platform and environment. This will be critical to ensuring we are always ahead of the curve. Our Advanced Analytics Discipline Is a Part Of Our Overall Data & Analytics Next Generation Cloud-based Program. To Help Us Build And Realize Our Advanced Analytics Capabilities At Scale, You Will Be Great At
- Developing practical business applications for cognitive, prescriptive and predictive analytic models and algorithms
- Working on transformational projects using large data sets (structured and unstructured) to deliver business value
- Using existing enterprise data – but also seeking relevant external / alternative data sources to find new opportunities
- Ability to understand, mine, parse, manipulate, and integrate large data sets
- Ability to conduct complex data analysis on large datasets and confidently present findings to the business community
- Working closely with other business team members to clearly explain your results, output and how it relates to the business opportunity while ensuring that output is practical and actionable
- Working with partners – to help explain/validate models and ensure fit for use
- Developing processes to monitor and analyze model performance and accuracy
- Clearly presenting findings to stakeholders and aligning on deployment (with expected value to be delivered)
- Implementing models and monitoring outcomes
What We’re Looking For
- Strong practical business experience building Advanced Analytics models, based on a number of statistical and AI/ML methods including, but not limited to: regression analysis, clustering, decision tree learning, neural networks, time-series, A/B testing, supervised learning, NLP, reinforcement learning, and deep learning
- Demonstrated experience in testing/validation, visualizing data, evaluating test results and model performance
- Experience with common libraries for ML
- Familiarity with collaborative software development tools
- Hands-on experience and expertise with different AI/ML frameworks
- Experience using advanced coding languages (R, Python, Spark, Scala, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and other digital marketing analytics platforms.
- Hands-on experience with MLOps frameworks and tools such as AWS SageMaker
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques

- Expected base salary range is $100 000.00 - $120 000.00, plus the opportunity to earn an annual incentive bonus tied to performance.
