THE JOB: Manager, PHP Operations
The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.
Starting Salary Range: $90,640- $113,300
Reporting to the Vice President (VP), the Manager, PHP Operations leads a team of administrative professionals, ensuring efficient operations and the handling of sensitive, confidential information. This role focuses on developing and streamlining processes, enhancing operational effectiveness, and fostering a positive, collaborative team culture.
The Manager drives initiatives and projects from concept to completion, coordinating cross-disciplinary teams and stakeholders. They oversee key workstreams, including the PHP’s family doctor matching scheme, and serve as an escalation point for complaints.
The ideal candidate excels in process improvement, operational management, and team leadership, with a proven ability to mentor and inspire high performance.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Leading Through People (B):
- Works with team members to assess developmental needs and provide necessary support and expertise.
- Develops awareness of personal leadership style.
- Ability to identify situations needing attention and is confident stepping in as a mediator if needed.
- Informs team of the reasoning behind decision making to foster trust and stability within the team.

- Quickly immerses self in new ideas, supporting change initiatives by following new directions and providing appropriate information.

WHAT YOU BRING
- A bachelor’s degree and/or recognized professional designation, and at least three years of progressive and related experience.
- Experience supervising and managing teams in complex systems and working collaboratively with senior and executive management.
- Experience managing budgets with complex revenue streams, collaborating around long-term financial planning.
- Experience with planning initiatives, evaluation, performance measurement, and change management strategies.
- Experience in managing a wide variety of projects simultaneously, and a knowledge of project management methodology. Capacity to self-manage varied project deadlines and deliverables.
- Experience contributing to team-wide strategy and the development of multi-year strategic plans.
- Demonstrated expertise with stakeholder relations and cross-organizational partnerships.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems with a high degree of tact and diplomacy.
- Insight into reporting and data management best practices.
- Demonstrated proficiency with CRM/EMR systems, reporting software such as Tableau, PC based software, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to develop clear, concise and comprehensive communication and reports.
- Solid understanding of the BC healthcare system and demonstrated understanding of medical staff clinics and practices. Knowledge of Doctors of BC and its associated programs is an asset.
- Must be willing to travel within the province.
