About the role
This opportunity is ideal for a creative music producer with a passion for rumba, kompa, and afrobeat genres. The project centers on crafting a unique beat for a love song, blending rumba and R&B influences. As this is a personal project in its early planning and research phase, the selected producer will have the flexibility to work remotely and collaborate closely to shape the musical direction. Responsibilities
- Compose and produce an original beat tailored to rumba, kompa, or afrobeat styles for a love song
- Collaborate with the project owner to understand the desired mood, tempo, and instrumentation
- Integrate R&B elements to create a distinctive fusion sound
- Deliver high-quality audio files suitable for further vocal and instrumental production
- Communicate progress and incorporate feedback throughout the creative process
- Manage project files and ensure timely delivery of the final beat
Skills And Requirements
- Demonstrated experience producing beats in rumba, kompa, afrobeat, or related genres
- Proficiency with digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as FL Studio, Ableton Live, or Logic Pro
- Strong understanding of rhythm, melody, and arrangement in Afro-Caribbean and African music styles
- Ability to blend multiple genres, particularly rumba and R&B, to create innovative sounds
- Excellent communication skills and openness to creative feedback
- Reliable internet connection for remote collaboration
- Availability to start promptly and discuss project timelines
